This is a record of everything that I have been working on as Vibrant Worlds. Some of these pages will be updated as I go!
This will also include some elements of my old blog, with some looks at what other ways I can develop my knowledge and understanding of Worldbuilding, Conlanging, and all aspects of life and how I implement it into my work.
This page also will take a look at my personal delving into the ideas of game design and some of the RPG concepts that I have been looking to develop further.
There is more coming soon, but I hope that you take some of what I am writing and have your own thoughts about it all.
Who am I?
My name is Owen, I have been a worldbuilder for several years particularly in the Fantasy genre, though I have dipped my toes into a large variety of other genres to experiment with genre splicing and giving myself a challenge.
My projects have had several aims with a number being prepared for stories, ranging from short stories up to work in progress novels. My worlds have also been prepared for TTRPG projects, again ranging in scale from full settings to creatures, adventures, and NPCs published as a freelancer. I have also spent a significant amount of time developing languages for my worldbuilding projects after gaining a keen sense for linguistics during my time at university.
Outside of worldbuilding, TTRPGs, conlanging, and writing, I spent years studying Computing Science and Theatre Studies before becoming a Computing Science Teacher at High School level.
The combination of all this experience has led to an interesting understanding of how to form worlds with a variety of different scopes and also a vast spectrum of knowledge that is expanding as I learn more.
The point of this website and is to share some of my learning from all over the spectrum of my hobbies, but also to write down what I have been working on.
HOWEVER! This does not mean that I won’t be releasing some content for TTRPG players and also for worldbuilders and readers, heck there’s even a chance for some prose being released in other parts of this website.
